San Miguel

San Miguel Beer refers to San Miguel Pale Pilsen, a Filipino pale lager made by San Miguel Brewery (a subsidiary of San Miguel Corporation). It was founded in 1890 by the original San Miguel Brewery (renamed the San Miguel Corporation in 1964) and is the best-selling beer in the Philippines and Hong Kong. In Chinese it is known as 生力啤酒. The San Miguel beer was introduced in 1946 by the San Miguel Brewery in Spain. The Spanish rights were spun off in 1953 by the San Miguel Brewery and became an independent entity, now known as the Mahou-San Miguel Group.
