From schnapps to beer 2000 The "Marchfelder Edelbrandmanufaktur" founded in 2000 was, so to speak, the pioneer company for the Marchfeld Storchenbräu. A small company building and a used distillery including the necessary accessories were purchased. 2001 was renovated and adapted for the company building. The distillery went into operation in autumn 2001. The first fruit brandies were successfully placed on the market in 2002. At this point, the entire activity within the Marchfeld brandy factory was carried out as a part-time job. In November 2002, there were initial considerations for a brewery. In February 2003 the decision was made to set up a brewery. This was followed by termination at the then employer and in June 2003 the planning for the brewery building was completed. In August 2003, the groundbreaking ceremony and the start of construction of the company building took place. In December 2003, almost all construction work was completed and the office was moved into. The brewhouse was also installed at this time. On May 22, 2004 we celebrated the official opening of the brewery. At that time three types of beer, Märzen, Pils and Bock, were brewed. In August 2004, the "Braunes" beer type was introduced as a new beer type. From December 2004, the wheat beer will be added to our product range. In February 2005 the tank storage capacity for beer was expanded from 70 Hl to 100 Hl. In March 2005, the commissioning of the new 12-digit bottle filler and the automatic labeler took place. The performance of the bottle filling and labeling machine could thus be expanded to a maximum of 4,000 bottles per hour. In May 2005 a second new cooling system (glycol cooling) with 10kW cooling capacity was put into operation. January 2006 first filling of an energy drink in swing top bottles !!! May 2006 Introduction of the first non-alcoholic drinks, "Orangino, Lemonade, Almino, Soda" in 0.5 l crown cork bottles. In autumn 2006 two types of Alcopops will be developed. February 2007 Expansion of the tank storage capacity for beer from 100 HL to 160 Hl by purchasing 3 ZKG with 20 Hl Ne each. <February 2007 "flying stork" = energy drink, "lemon stork" and "orange stork" as Alcopops are added to the program. May 2007 Cola is added to the AFG program and at the same time all AFG drinks are also offered in 0.33 liter crown cork bottles. Beer counters and mobile counter elements are purchased for the event area. A new bottle sterilizer was purchased at the end of the year. In 2009, the focus was on quality control. The facility for a small microbiology laboratory was created and the production area changed from layer filtration to candle filtration. At the beginning of 2010, more investments were made in advertising. The catering trade will be equipped with outdoor light advertising. The creation of a new website is commissioned.
